Schedule & Heats are posted HERE
The schedule and heat draws for this weekend’s event are HERE.

This is stop #3 on the 2024-2025 SaltLife WSA Championship Tour presented by Got Milk?

Please be sure to check the schedule and heats to confirm your heat time. The heat time is listed above your heat. If you miss your heat, you are not automatically re-added to the event; you will go to the bottom of the alternate list. No refunds for missed heats will be provided.

We will have Sur CoffeeKodiak Cake pancakes, GoGo SqueeZ Active Fruit Blend with Electrolytes and hot dogs at the beach for surfers. We will also have a limited supply of water bottles. Parking for the event is free but unfortunately the motor-homeless have taken over most parking spots, so come early and give yourself plenty of time to find a spot. Also, Sunday the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego is running. We suggest you use Waze to map out the best route.

Please take some time to review the 2024/2025 Rulebook paying special attention to the Sportsmanship Clause on pg.12 and Heat Preparation Sections on pg. 9.

MEMO: WSA Head Judge
WSA Ocean Beach Oct 12-13. Notes from the head judge.
The judging criteria for this weekend’s event is as follows:
“Good Morning Athletes  -

There will be some surf this weekend. Saturday and Sunday look to be decent days for surf and weather conditions. There will  a bump in surf Sunday. Both days should have opportunities to showcase your talent.

This weekend we will be looking for the surfers who can execute quality maneuvers in the pockets of energy and critical sections. Those surfers that can combine these quality moments with speed, power, flow, and variety of maneuvers, will receive the highest scores. Sunday we will apply the full judging criteria elements as written.

Please remember for maneuvers to be deemed complete, the surfer must show control and ride out in front of the white wash. Any loss of control will hinder scoring. Also, please be mindful of crushing sections on surfers.”

Good luck to all athletes this weekend. Thank you to all of our sponsors for helping to make this event happen!
